Sony Interactive Entertainment today revealed the free PS+ games for the month of March.

March 2019 is a bittersweet month for PS+ members. Players are getting two fantastic games against the backdrop of bad news. Still, most will likely be happy by the two titles on offer, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is the 2016 remaster of the 2007 classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Originally developed by Infinity Ward, the game puts players in a modern day conflict. The series' signature multiplayer also stems from this entry. Remastered by Raven Software, MWR features improved graphics, new effects, new multiplayer features, and PS4 Pro support.

Jonathan Blow's 2016 masterpiece The Witness is also up for grabs this month. The first-person puzzle game challenges players to uncover the secrets of a tropical island.

Unfortunately, March 2019 is the first month without offerings for PS3 and PS Vita. Sony warned us months ago it was happening, and the day has finally come. February 2019's PS3 and Vita offerings are available until March 4. Sadly, Sony is not replacing them with additional PS4 offerings. Considering Microsoft offers a total of four games every month with their service, it'll be quite disappointing if Sony doesn't alter their service.

PS+ members can download Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered and The Witness starting March 5.
