Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Season 3 will kick off in a few weeks, and there might be a monstrous guest arriving by sea.
Season 3, dubbed Classified Arms, arrives April 27 with a slew of new content for both Vanguard and Warzone. This includes brand new multiplayer maps, weapons, new points of interest in Caldera, a Battle Pass, and more. We’ll have a full picture about what all that content is as we approach launch, but what’s more interesting is who is teased at the end of the teaser trailer.
The trailer reveals that the Nazi’s successfully set off Nebula bombs across the world, including in Caldera. In the trailer, a squad captures a truck filled with Nebula bombs, but is stopped dead in their tracks over sounds they hear on the radio. Though it is broken up, listening carefully unveils the roar of the King of the Monsters himself, Godzilla. The Call of Duty Twitter handle followed up with a three second audio clip that, while distorted, is unmistakably Godzilla.

Call of Duty is no stranger to cameos from famous movie characters. Leatherface and Billy the Puppet both popped up in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019). Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War saw the likes of Rambo, John McClane, Judge Dredd, and Ghostface pop up throughout the year. As for Call of Duty: Vanguard, two Operator skins based on Attack on Titan have already made their way into the title. Godzilla will no doubt be the largest cameo yet, though we’re not sure how he’ll be utilized within either Vangaurd or Warzone. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Call of Duty: Warzone is available to download for free on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
