Capcom announced today that this vastly-improved version of the 2002 GameCube “REmake” will be coming out in North America and Europe for the Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, and PC in early 2015. The lighting effects have received the most impressive overhaul, as the character models look quite similar to the initial REmake.
The upgraded version features 16:9 widescreen support, and players will be able to choose between the original “tank” controls and a more conventional control scheme. This is definitely a step in the right direction for Capcom, who has been accused of losing their way over the past few years. It’s moves like this that engender goodwill with their fanbase.
Wow super excited for this. Even though I have had the original since launch both 96 and 2002 and I play the REmake every year on Halloween I plan on getting this for my PS4. I just hope it sells well enough that they remake 2 and 3 with this engine. It would be to good to handle.
WOW! Fantastic!! I had this on PS1 and it is still one of my favorite games. I never did get to play the gamecube version…. and coming to PC too?! Ohh ohhh…Inappropriate boner coming on. Take my money ASAP please. Thank-YOU Capcom!!!
