Over the past couple of weeks, Capcom has released two limited time PlayStation exclusive demos for the upcoming eighth mainline Resident Evil, which has received plenty of criticism unrelated to the actual contents of the demo.

Previously, the Japanese developer had announced that one more hour-long demo for Resident Evil Village would be available on all platforms starting on May 1, with an original plan of only 24 hours of availability. Now, Capcom has adjusted their plans after hearing feedback from fans, and while the demo will still only be available for a limited time, the timeframe for players to check out the demo has been extended to last from May 1 at 5 PM PT to May 9 at 5 PM PT. The demo will still offer sixty minutes of playtime of a portion of the final game located in both the village and Castle Dimitrescu.

Resident Evil Village is set to launch on May 7 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
