Gamers are mere days away from an onslaught of gaming showcases featuring new announcements, trailers and gameplay for some of the most anticipated titles of this year and beyond.

On Thursday, June 8 at 12 PM PT, the Summer Game Fest presentation will feature two hours worth of reveals and updates from over forty publishers, with the Day of the Devs broadcast and Devolver Direct going down immediately afterwards as both plan to highlight plenty of upcoming indie games. While several other smaller showcases will be streamed over the following couple days, the next major conference is the Xbox Games Showcase on June 11 at 10 AM PT, which will lead directly into a dedicated Starfield Direct followed by the PC Gaming Show later that afternoon. Until recently, June 12’s only gaming show was the Ubisoft Forward at 10 AM PT, but there’s one more publisher who wants to throw their hat into the ring on this extended weekend of gaming announcements.

Fresh off of the well-received release of Street Fighter 6, Capcom has announced that they will be hosting their own showcase on June 12 at 3 PM PT over on their official Twitch and YouTube channels. The event will last approximately 35 minutes in addition to a pre-show starting at 2:30 PM PT. While Capcom doesn’t specifically tease any games that will be appearing during the livestream, and there's always the potential for unexpected reveals, there are at least a few titles that fans can expect to see. Exoprimal, the PvPvE dinosaur hunting title, is set to launch next month on July 14, so the showcase represents one of the last opportunities to push the game before it is released upon the masses like a wave of hungry velociraptors. Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is receiving an HD port to modern platforms at the end of the month on June 30, and while there probably won’t be anything new to reveal regarding the 2011 DS game, Capcom could be hiding something to excite fans of the adventure title.

Additionally, Pragmata, which was first revealed three years ago with a mysterious sci-fi teaser starring a girl and an astronaut, was delayed back in November 2021 but still currently holds a 2023 release window, so this showcase certainly seems like a good time to properly introduce players to the Japanese publisher’s newest IP. Dragon’s Dogma II received its first trailer just a couple of weeks ago at the PlayStation Showcase, but there was no release window shared at the time, so Capcom may have more light to shed on the upcoming fantasy game. Finally, the Resident Evil 4 remake released to plenty of praise earlier this year, but the Separate Ways story expansion from the original game was surprisingly absent, leading many to wonder if Capcom is working on an upgraded version of the Ada Wong adventure as DLC that could be first introduced at the showcase.
