It's been almost two years since Overwatch hit stores, and Blizzard wants to celebrate the anniversary the best way they know how -- with an event.

From May 22 through June 11, players will be able to unlock over fifty new items, with 8 new Legendary and 3 new Epic skins in the mix. The newest characters; Doomfist, Moira, and Brigitte, will all be getting new dances as well. Previous seasonal skins and items will also become available again, both in loot boxes and for purchase with Credits. In addition, players who log in will get one free loot box with a guaranteed Legendary item, and those who snag the 50 loot box bundle will receive an extra Legendary loot box. Seasonal brawls like Mei's Snowball Fight and Capture the Flag will also come back, rotating in the Arcade daily.

A brand new Deathmatch map, called Petra, will be released alongside the introduction of a Competitive Deathmatch season. It will have placement matches, skill tiers, and leaderboards, just like regular Competitive play.

The weekend of May 25 - 28 will also be a free weekend for Overwatch. The free version of the game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. PlayStation players will not need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play, either.

A new edition of Overwatch will be released on May 22 in celebration of the anniversary. The Legendary Edition will hand you 15 Legendary, Epic, and Origin skins to choose from.

Overwatch was originally released on May 24, 2016.
