Earlier this year, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime announced that he would be retiring from his position after nearly fifteen years with the developer and publisher.

Now, a second of the big three console makers is having a major leadership change, as President and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment and Worldwide Studios Chairman Shawn Layden is stepping away from PlayStation, per the tweet above. Layden took over from former President and CEO Jack Tretton back in 2014, but has been with Sony for over thirty years, starting off as a Communications Assistant back in 1987 and ultimately spending time as Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe, President of Sony Computer Entertainment of Japan and Executive Vice President and COO of Sony Network Entertainment International over his three decade tenure. No successor has been announced as of the time of writing.
