Those with a tremendous interest in indie games have probably heard of developer James Earl Cox III (An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge, EnviroGolf) before. Their games excel at often feeling handmade and strangely compelling.

Children's Day is the latest release and offers quite a charming, if brief, experience. Players walk across a hand-drawn 2D town as a single person playing an acoustic guitar. As they progress, other characters appear to liven up the soundtrack.

The music itself is excellent and really jives with the cartoony animated characters. Interested? Children's Day is available as a free download for Windows computers on itch.io.
