Chroma Squad, a Power Rangers-inspired tactical RPG, has been picked up by Bandai Namco and will now be releasing in early 2017 on nearly every platform available.

Originally a Kickstarter project, Chroma Squad faced some serious issues when Saban, the North American rights holder for Power Rangers, threatened legal action due to obvious brand similarities unless the developers agreed to a royalty share, which they eventually did. Legal issues resolved, the game was given a release date of April 30, 2015. We haven't heard too much about Chroma Squad since then until now.

Bandai Namco announced a partnership to publish the game, using its greater resources to expand the platforms the originally PC-only game will hit, adding PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation Vita, iOS and Android. Look for the game to hit early next year.
