Sega today confirmed that ChuChu Rocket! Universe will be heading exclusively to Apple Arcade this month.

The upcoming title is the first sequel to the critically acclaimed ChuChu Rocket! and comes two decades after the original initially launched on the Sega Dreamcast.

UK-based developer Hardlight is at the helm of ChuChu Rocket! Universe and has the ChuChus return in an all-new storyline.

Along with the single-player mode, Hardlight’s title will allow players to compete in head-to-head combat as they attempt to rescue more ChuChus than their opponent.

Apple Arcade, which was announced in March, will allow subscribers to access over 100 titles.

During the announcement of Apple’s latest range of iPhones on Tuesday, the tech titan revealed that the subscription-based gaming service is priced at $4.99 (£4.99) and is slated to launch on September 19 for iPhone, iPad, macOS and Apple TV.

Those who subscribe to Apple Arcade can play titles offline without ads or in-app purchases, along with the ability to use their DualShock 4 or Xbox One controller.
