City of the Shroud blends tactical RPGs and an in-game civil war together to create what should be a memorable experience. Abyssal Arts' latest allows you to pledge allegiance to one of the game's many factions and fight for political control. The game will merge SRPG mechanics with fighting games thanks to real-time combos - adding a slew of action to a normally-stagnant genre. It will release on PC and Mac in the summer of 2018, while the Xbox One and PlayStation 4  will have versions to call their own at some point in 2019. Modern-day consoles are definitely lacking in quality SRPGs, and this one has the potential to give the genre a bit of a revival - while PC users have a steady stream of them available, even if many are older console ports.
