Microsoft today announced that a quartet of classic Valve titles have received the enhancement treatment for Xbox One X.

Valve made some great games for Xbox 360, and nearly all of them can currently be enjoyed on Xbox One. The backwards compatibility program has already brought Half-Life 2: The Orange Box, Portal: Still Alive, Left 4 Dead, and Left 4 Dead 2 to Xbox One. Starting today, however, Xbox One X owners can enjoy these titles in an enhanced way.

All four Xbox 360 games have been enhanced for Xbox One X. When playing on an Xbox One X, these games run at a higher resolution and nine times the original pixel count. Players experience the very best possible version of a game without any changes made to the code or assets. A total of 21 games are now Xbox One X enhanced, including Red Dead Redemption and Skate 3.

Xbox One X is available now worldwide. All backwards compatible and X enhanced games can be purchased off the Xbox store.
