With the next announcement slowly approaching, a CoroCoro magazine leak revealed brand new Pokémon and forms to look forward to in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Perhaps the following details will be included in the informational update. However, last time this occurred was the reveal of Rockruff and Komala which did not receive an official announcement until weeks later.

Let's begin with the gentle giant, Bewear. It has been learned that it will have a pre-evolved form named Nuikoguma. This is the Japanese name with the English version yet to come. We also know it will be a Normal/Fighting-type just like Bewear. Based on its image, Nuikoguma may not be a seasoned competitor nor the stamina to keep going. It may not seem as strong as its evolved form but will surely be able to lay down a beating.

A couple of clever sandcastle Pokémon were revealed today. Sunabaa is more of a mound of sand one would see an unskilled sculptor claim to be a castle down at the beach. It evolved into Shirodesuna, which looks like a highly trained construction, even having castle walls for hands. Each of them have a shovel sticking from their heads which seems important for them to become animated. They are both Ground/Ghost-type Pokémon and may look cute and harmless but would certainly ruin a day on the shore.

There's a fishy Water-type Pokémon named Yowashi which is looking a bit scrawny but still pretty cute. To make up for its size, it uses a School Form to attract more fish in order to make itself look larger and meaner. They all disguise themselves to create the mirage of a giant batfish which is a family of anglerfish that walk along the seafloor. Trainers can probably expect Yowashi to gain increased stats from this formation.

Now, we move on to the Alolan Forms for some older generation Pokémon. Meowth has a Dark-type makeover, though not much appears to have changed. It does come in a new darker coloring and may have been streamlined just a little to perhaps make it more agile. It is said to have been bred to look this way which hopefully doesn't mean Meowth has lost its fighting edge. Then, it has been confirmed Marowak is now a Fire/Ghost-type. This Pokémon receives a complete transformation and seems to have adapted to fit a volcanic area of the islands. It has a flaming bone baton that will obviously be its main weapon in battle. Now, we know why Trial Captain Kiawe, the Fire-type expert, has chosen this partner.

The final image of the CoroCoro scans reveals new characters coming to the games. So far, we have found out the main antagonist for the series is called Team Skull. One of the leaders is named Plumari and she doesn't look like she wants anything to do with the team (based on her facial expression). The group is led by Guzma and he definitely appears eager to complete whatever dastardly scheme is being planned. Along with them it has been announced Rockruff's evolution will be revealed soon. Perhaps it means this Pokémon plays a much larger role within the game, anime, and eventual movies.

Have a look at all the new reveals below and stay tuned later this week to catch even more Pokémon Sun and Moon news.

[Update] It has recently come to light that one more Pokémon was missed from the initial magazine scans. There have been rumors circulating of a sea cucumber Pokémon and the reveal of Namakobushi could solve those speculations. It is said to be able to flip its innards out to form a fist. Sea cucumbers actually expel their stomachs in order to scare off potential predators. So, if this is the case, it very likely is a sea cucumber Pokémon but instead of using this technique as a defensive mechanism, it doubles for offense. However, Namakobushi does have the appearance of a rabbit due to its facial features and even a cotton-like tail. The current typing is unknown but its mouth and nose come in the same shape as the Fire Blast attack indicating it could be a Fire-type of some kind. The actual Japanese character it resembles means "big/great" so it may not relate to being a Fire-type at all. More information will surely arrive in the near future.
