David Haddad Named President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has found a new President. David Haddad, who was promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment back in January 2015, has been promoted to President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

As President, Haddad is responsible for all of WBIE’s operations. This includes publishing, sales, marketing, digital/mobile games, business development, and game production, and boy does he had some big shoes to fill. 2015 is WBIE’s most successful year ever thanks to Batman: Arkham Knight, Mortal Kombat X, LEGO Jurassic World, Dying Light, and LEGO Dimensions. Hopefully Haddad can keep the train rolling with more quality releases.

“David has proven himself to be a leader who is equally adept at the creative and management sides of the games business,” said Ron Sanders, President, Warner Bros. Worldwide Home Entertainment Distribution. “This promotion recognizes the many contributions he’s made toward WBIE’s record-breaking success this year, and we’re looking to him to continue the division’s momentum.”

“David’s expertise in all areas of the video game business has been instrumental in our continued growth and success,” said Diane Nelson, President of DC Entertainment, President and Chief Content Officer, WBIE, and President, Warner Bros. Consumer Products.  “As we look to further our expansion in both mobile and digital, we’ll look to David to help us develop and implement winning strategies.”

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment owns the rights to DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings, LEGO, and Mortal Kombat among many other properties. Upcoming announced projects include LEGO Marvel’s Avengers and LEGO Worlds.
