Yesterday Target revealed that there was unauthorized access to payment card data for their U.S. stores. Thankfully, the issue has been identified and eliminated, but customers are still wary about trusting Target. To help customers feel at ease, especially during this hectic holiday season, Target explained that guests will not be held financially responsible for any credit or debit card fraud and will be offering free credit monitoring services. While this is great news for anyone that might be affected, Target is also extending a 10% discount to guests that shop at Target from December 21, 2013 and December 22, 2013. This offer is valid in story only. Limit one offer per guest to be used in a single transaction and this offer is not valid in Canada.

While 10% might not sound like much, remember this is a discount of $10 dollars per $100 spent. Like most offers, this excludes any card of prepaid value card, Apple, Bose, all video games, but interestingly enough, it does not exclude all video game systems. As per the offer, only the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are excluded, which means you should be able to get the Nintnedo Wii U or any older console for 10% off. Considering some stores still have the Wind Waker HD bundle, this might be the perfect time to get a last minute present for your loved one or simply as a treat for yourself.
