The forthcoming Death Road to Canada has had its release date pushed back after the recent attack in Toronto.
Rocketcat Games’ quirky side-scrolling title was scheduled to launch on Wednesday, April 25, for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
“We feel it would be deeply inappropriate to launch the game at such a time,” says Paul Hann, managing director at UKIYO Publishing. “We would like to express our deepest condolences to everyone affected by the tragic events in Toronto.”
According to UKIYO, it will reschedule Death Road’s launch and announce an official release at a later date.
Due to the tragic events that happened in Toronto yesterday, we felt that now wouldn't be the right time to release Death Road to Canada, so we have put the release on hold for now.
We apologises to all the fans and our condolences to those affected by the events.

Canadian police have arrested and named the suspect as 25-year-old Alek Minassian.
Death Road, which was previously released on Steam and mobile devices, has players taking a road trip where they recruit new characters and face off against zombies.
