Developer XALOC has revealed that its title Nebula Realms will no longer be purchasable until major server issues are fixed.

According to a Facebook post from the development team today, the sheer amount of data being transferred as a result of high player interest has essentially rendered the servers, as they stand, unusable. In a nutshell, this means that a title with a heavy online focus is basically just an icon within the PS4 libraries of tons of users.  Check out a piece of the official statement below:

The server management system that we build is not ready to deal with so much transfer data and we need to redo a lot of functionalities of the server and also work on the game client. It will be a huge amount of work and we aren't sure about how long will that take us to fix it.

We are extremely sad about this, we done has much as we possibly could to try to make the system stable so you guys can play, many of you seen the server up for few minutes before it crashed, we tried several things but nothing really worked. The only option that we have right now is to remove the game from the store until the system it's ready to handle all the server traffic.

Nebula Realms, which launched on October 25, is essentially a social hub for players to create an avatar and enjoy a host of light entertainment once they enter said hub. Obviously without working servers, there isn't really anything for players to do here. Here's to hoping that lost looking to dive into Nebula Realms will be able to play sometime in the near future as opposed to what seems like a hefty amount of time post-launch.
