Valhalla Games and famed game developer, Tomonobu Itagaki, have been returned the rights to their upcoming online shooter, Devil's Third. THQ is obviously not in a great position at the moment and concern arose whether or not Devil's Third would be one of the titles they would continue to support. Unfortunately, that is not the case as THQ has told Eurogamer that they will no longer be publishing the title and "all of the game's IP rights have been returned to Itagaki-san and the Valhalla team."

It's unfortunate news for both parties being that THQ loses out on an investment they put a significant amount of time and funding into, and Valhalla Games will now have to shop around for a new publisher before the game is released by the end of the next year. With the recent news of THQ's reverse split in the stock market, things aren't looking great for the publisher, but hopefully they can pull through and continue to supply the world with great franchises such as Darksiders and Company of Heroes.
