The Battlefield 1 open beta is over and Dice is making some big changes to the game ahead of launch.

Battlefield 1 is only one month away, and both EA and Dice are taking great strides to make sure the game is the best it can be before launch. This included hosting an open beta to test the servers, balance, and overall feel of the game. The open beta also gave players the ability to send feedback to the devs, which they are taking very seriously. In fact, Dice has detailed some of the major changes they're already making.

The biggest announced change comes to Conquest. For Battlefield 1, Dice opted to change the classic formula to focus on point-scoring instead of points and skills. It was a highly controversial change, and it didn't seem to please many players. As such, Dice is altering the Conquest ticket system for launch. The next time you enter a game of Conquest, focusing on scoring points and getting kills with both contribute towards the final score of the match. Dice will also be tweaking Rush, but did not provide any details on what those tweaks will be.

There will also be many changes made to the balancing of weapons and vehicles. The Light Tank in particular is getting a nerf, and the horses won't be as durable as they were in the beta. Dice is also looking into making anti-vehicle tools unlock earlier. Plus, the Support class will finally get a gadget to use against vehicles, something they currently do not have.

Battlefield 1 is out October 21 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Be sure to check out our Open Beta preview where we discuss what the latest build of the game got right, and what it needs to improve.
