Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition Gets a Story Trailer

Bandai Namco Entertainment today released a new story trailer for Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition.

The RPG includes two titles — Cyber Sleuth and Hacker’s Memory — and is slated to launch on October 18 on Nintendo Switch and PC.

Cyber Sleuth, which initially launched on PlayStation Vita in Japan in 2015, was released in North America and Europe in 2016 on Sony’s handheld console.

The Digimon title would later be released on PlayStation 4.

Hacker’s Memory, which is the sequel to Cyber Sleuth, was first released in Japan in 2017 for PS4 and PS Vita.

It would be followed up with a launch in North America and Europe in 2018.

Cyber Sleuth had players turn into a half digital being after encountering a mysterious being.

Collecting and training Digimon, the player can explore both physical and digital worlds as they attempt to regain control of their physical body.

The sequel has players taking control of Keisuke and has them clearing his name for a crime that he never committed.

Hardcore Gamer’s review for Cyber Sleuth said that the title “does for Digimon what Pokémon Red/Blue did for Pokémon,” adding that the “turn-based RPG mechanics are simple and addicting.”

And our review for Hacker’s Memory found that the “quality put into the story, combat and progression make it a worthy successor.”
