Distance Coming to PlayStation 4 in 2015

Distance’s Steam page just went live, and the game will be available for purchase via Early Access on December 9, 2014. Referact Studios announced today that the spiritual successor to Nitronic Rush will be coming to the PlayStation 4 in 2015.

This survival racer isn’t about coming in first — it’s about living to see the finish line. You’ll have a track full of hazards to worry about, but you’ll also be using a car that is so badass it gives the Mach 5 vehicular-penis envy. This thing can boost, jump, spin around, fly, and even enable some parkour-like elements. Games like Gripshift on PS2 and Wii Speed Racer have done things like this before, but none have quite bathed the screen in this much neon lighting.

Unfortunately, no firm release date was announced for the PlayStation 4 version, but the game will be playable at PlayStation Experience this coming weekend.
