Nearly a month on from its release, the second entry in the unusual yet surprisingly enjoyable sub-series that is Dragon Quest Builders, has reached its first pivotal milestone. During a recent livestream airing in Japan, Square Enix confirmed that the game has now sold over one million copies globally -- Dragon Quest Builders 2 having already released in Japan in late December last year, and only now making its Western appearance last month.

Specifically, total sales for the game currently sit at 1.1 million and from the looks of things, the second entry has done just as well in impressing, following the original Dragon Quest Builders' surprising unveiling and similarly-surprising level of enjoyment, for what was touted as Square Enix/Dragon Quest's attempt to get in on the Minecraft trend. Dragon Quest Builders 2 is currently available for PS4 & Switch.
