The Dragon Quest series has recently seen the revival of one of its most popular installments in Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Since then, fans have been waiting patiently for the re-release of the eighth installment, Journey of the Cursed King, in which The Hero must restore the town of Trodain to its former glory. This version of the game is bigger that the original with two new playable characters and brand new side quests.

The game will feature full voice acting and plot-important cut scenes that will provide players with more content regarding The Hero and the villainous Dhoulmagus, the jester who stole the king's sceptre. Since the game is being released on the 3DS, fans will have the opportunity to photograph their adventures to share via streetpass with other fans of the game. Once players meet Cameron Obscura in Port Prospect, they will be able to unlock Cameron' Codex and be rewarded for taking pictures of certain places and monsters.
