Neverwinters next DLC expansion, Dragonslayer, is coming to the game in just under a month. Once June 14 hits, fans on all platforms will have the opportunity to become a dragonslayer under the direction of one Smerdiuk Dragonbane. This will mean venturing into the very lairs of the D&D-inspired beasts and attempting to strike them down.

The crown feature of Dragonslayer is the new "Dragon Hunt" system which lets aspiring hunters battle against many varieties of chromatic dragon. As one would hope, the dragons vary by type and age, and each combination brings its own set of challenges. There are three ages confirmed so far: Young, Adult and Ancient, and the types mentioned in the announcement include White and Green dragons. There are certainly more though, and details about them can be found here.

Aside from the addition of dragons and the Dragon Hunt system, many of Neverwinter's creatures have been reworked. The now have new spells and attacks, with some also now capable of flight. The “Temple of Tiamat” trial is also getting a major update, adding new mechanics, new challenges and new Normal and Master difficulty options. Get a feel for it all in the announcement trailer below.

Dragonslayer releases for Neverwinter on June 14 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox systems.
