During today's special Smash Bros. presentation, Nintendo announced that the upcoming Game & Watch amiibo will offer a variety of poses and props for the historic character. A first in Nintendo's line of NFC figures, it's yet unclear just how many variations will come with the amiibo when it launches later this year. As many expected, the Game & Watch amiibo will indeed feature a comparatively flat design, true to the character's two-dimensional roots.

Nintendo also announced that R.O.B., Duck Hunt and amiibo will launch alongside the rest of the original Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS cast this September with Falco coming to stores a couple of months later in time for the holiday season.
