The recently-speculated collaboration between renowned Japanese developer FromSoftware and American writer George R. R. Martin (creator of a particularly niche series of novels you may or may not have heard) turned out to be real after all and its name is Elden Ring.

The game’s press release confirms this is an entirely original project and does not pertain to any original property — Elden Ring instead set within a new world created by Martin and FromSoftware studio director Hidetaka Miyazaki. Elden Ring is planned for launch on PS4, Xbox One & PC. Shall we prepare to die…again?
