Ed Boon has confirmed Mortal Kombat X is getting extended support, but did not reveal all that entails.

Mortal Kombat X launched in April 2015 and shows no signs of slowing down. Rather than end support for the game after the release of Mortal Kombat XL and Kombat Pack 2, NetherRealm Studios head Ed Boon has revealed that the game will be receiving extended support. He confirmed this during the latest PlayStation Blogcast.

"We're very busy. Because Mortal Kombat X we've extended its support even further than all the other games. It's actually ...overlapping into our next game, Injustice 2 and I'm trying to tell myself it's a good thing, but it makes for a very busy schedule.."

No confirmation on what this support could be, but many are hoping its for a Kombat Pack 3. There are still a lot of Mortal Kombat characters players would like to see including Sindel, Rain, Havik, and Noob Saibot. We likely won't have to wait long for an announcement. Ed Boon has already teased some form of Mortal Kombat X announcement at EVO 2016, which takes place July 15-17.

We'll let you know should Ed Boon, NetherRealm Studios, or Warner Bros. make any announcement regarding Mortal Kombat X.
