Sorry to all Saints Row 3 fans, including myself, as THQ's new President Jason Rubin has told Eurogamer that Enter the Dominatrix is no more. Enter the Dominatrix was originally an April Fool's gag by Volition Inc. but later turned into a full-fledged standalone expansion. Instead, THQ's President has revealed that the expansion isn't necessarily canncelled, but instead moved into the next Saints Row property. Rubin comments,

When I looked at the Enter The Dominatrix expansion in production at Volition, I was blown away by the ideas and desire to expand the fiction of the franchise.

When it comes to Saints Row, it's clear our fans want bigger, better, and even more over the top, and that's why Enter The Dominatrix will now be incorporated into a vastly expanded, full-fledged sequel, scheduled for calendar 2013.

The sequel was confirmed by Rubin to be a 2013 launch, so mark your calender's folks as we'll have a new Saints Row for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 by the end of next year. It will also have an "even broader appeal." Whether that's a good thing or not we'll be determined when we see more of the game at a later date.
