Those of of you who have popped into the Epic Games Store in the past week to claim the weekly free game may have noticed that the freebie set for this week was a mystery game, and that typically means one of two things: A big announcement, or a huge sale. Well, it turned out to be the latter, as today marks the start of the annual Epic MEGA Sale, which will last for four weeks and feature free blockbuster tentpole games from the Epic vault being given away each week. And appropriately enough for a mention of the Epic vault, the first game to be given away is none other than one centered around Vault Hunters: Borderlands 3, Gearbox’s 2019 FPS and the most recent entry in the series, available to grab from now until May 26.
For those not interested in the loot-and-shoot world of Pandora, though, the MEGA Sale will have over 1,600 games and add-ons on sale with discount up to seventy-five percent, so you’re guaranteed to find something you like. For example, if you’re in the mood for more recent games this year, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be twenty percent off, with Sifu receiving the same discount, and Ghostwire: Tokyo will be thirty-four percent off, among many others. The reusable Epic Coupon also returns, but instead of allowing for ten dollars off like before, now it allows for twenty-five percent off any games carrying a tag of $14.99 USD or more. The Epic MEGA Sale will take place in the Epic Games Store from now until June 16, so feel free to take your time browsing for some games to pick up for this summer.
