For the unknowing gamer out there, the recently released 3DS title, Fantasy Life, is kind of a big deal in Japan. Released at the end of 2012, the game flew off the shelves so quickly that its publisher Level-5 couldn't keep up with demand, leading to widespread shortages across the Land of the Rising Sun. The Fantasy Life craze was well-warranted though, considering Mother 3 (Earthbound) developer 1-UP Stuidos (formerly Brownie Brown) made the game, and is reportedly a fantastic mix of simulation and RPG elements, making many gamers nostalgic for the glory days of Harvest Moon.

Nevertheless, fans of Eastern gaming have been clamoring for Fantasy Life since its conception, and thanks to a little trademark incident, their wishes may be granted. It was earlier today that Fantasy Life showed up on Level-5's trademark list of upcoming localization projects for European territories. If history has taught us anything, it's that Level-5 likes to file trademarks in the West before releasing their games. (Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven Strikers and all three Guild 01 games are proof of this.)

So, for those out there looking to get their grubby paws on a game that is sure to destroy social lives in the blink of an eye, then Fantasy Life might be just what the doctor ordered.
