In anticipation of Tokyo Game Show 2019, Square Enix dropped a fully-loaded new trailer for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition today. It revealed a game filled with new upgrades and features, and even went so far as to provide a release date too. Fans will be able to get their hands on it as soon as January 23 rolls around.
As far as remasters go, it looks like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition is getting the royal treatment. Not only have the visuals, music and character voice-overs been improved, but new features and content have been added as well. Players will get new bosses and dungeons to enjoy, and they’ll be able to do it online with up to four other players and full cross-play support.
Fans will also be able to personalize their characters even more than in the original thanks to the inclusion of new character skin variants and equippable items. They say one can’t improve on the classics, but Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition sure is making a strong counterargument.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition launches on January 23 for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.
