Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida has confirmed that the long awaited Final Fantasy XVI trailer is nearly here.
Speaking during a special NieR Reincarnation and Final Fantasy XIV crossover livestream (translated by Siliconera), the famed producer confirmed that the long-promised trailer has been completed and will appear soon. Due to certain factors, it was delayed, but is currently on track for a release soon.
Furthermore, Yoshida provided an update on the game’s development. According to the producer, the game is pretty much complete with the team focusing on polishing and debugging the game. This tracks with his previous statements that development of the game is farther along than we realize. Hopefully, the upcoming trailer will provide some form or release window.
Final Fantasy XVI was first revealed at the PlayStation 5 Showcase back in September 2020. The four minute trailer provided a look at the cast of characters, combat, and some story elements. It was also all recorded in English, another sign that the game is farther along in development. Past Final Fantasy reveals have either been recorded in Japanese or had no verbal dialogue.
Final Fantasy XVI is currently in development for PS5. Be sure to check back for the latest news on Final Fantasy XVI.
