Following on from the news that Breath of the Wild would be the first Nintendo first-party title to introduce a Season Pass-like structure to post-release DLC, it's been confirmed that the upcoming latest entry in the Fire Emblem series, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, will be following suit with its own Season Pass. Nintendo this time, it would seem, not shying away from the terminology many AAA developers and publishers have already used.

After its release on May 19 (in both the US & Europe), Fire Emblem Echoes will receive a stream of downloadable content, both free and paid alike, in the form of new maps, challenge dungeons and even paralogues that will even expand the stories of certain secondary characters that join your army during the game's story. No release date or even content covered in the Season Pass have been offered, but be sure to look out for more details once Shadows of Valentia hits the 3DS next month.
