Microsoft is bringing a ton of games to Xbox One via backwards compatibility, and we'll know what games those are next week.

Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, has confirmed that Microsoft will be publishing a list of 100 Xbox 360 titles that will be playable on your Xbox One via backwards compatibility. The list will be published November 9, mere days before backwards compatibility is added to Xbox One.

Xbox One backwards compatibility was announced at E3 2015 to great fanfare. Through software emulation, select Xbox 360 titles can be played on an Xbox One console. The 100 revealed on November 9 will be the first wave of backwards compatible games with more to come in the future. So far we know Gears of War, Gears of Wars 2, Gears of War 3, Gears of War: Judgment, Mass Effect, Super Meat Boy, N+, Kameo, and Shadow Complex among others will be compatible on day one.

Backwards compatibility launches November 12 alongside the New Xbox Experience. In addition BC, the New Xbox Experience radically changes the system's User Interface to look and feel more like Windows 10.
