First DLC Announced and Dated for Resident Evil Village

Resident Evil Village launched over a year ago and has yet to receive any DLC. This status has been rectified with today’s announcement of Winters’ Expansion as it will launch on October 28, just in time for Halloween. There are three major caveats to the expansion that includes a story called Shadows of Rose. This story takes place 16 years after the events of Resident Evil Village. If you haven’t finished the game by now, well the premise of this story kind of gives a way the epilogue to the game. Rose is grown up and is embodied with powers as she struggles with them. She will relive the memories of the past with twisted events as she looks to cope with these powers.

Winters’ Expansion will also include a new third-person mode option. Both RE7 and Village were done in the first person, but now the option to play it from behind the shoulder, much like the remakes, will be available. Ethan Winters will be plainly visible for the first time. Lastly, The Mercenaries Mode will be getting some attention with the addition of three characters: Chris Redfield, Lady D and Heisenberg. There will also be additional stages to mow down enemies on. Capcom also mentioned that the Resident Evil: RE Verse will be launching the same day as this DLC.
