French-based publisher Focus Home Interactive has seen a "record start" to its 2019/20 fiscal year, with profits up more than 80% compared with the same period last year -- totalling revenue of nearly €80 million. Responsible for bringing acclaimed titles like Vampyr and this year's showing with A Plague Tale: Innocence, GreedFall and The Surge 2 alike, the company also noted that back-catalog games as well as the release of titles like World War Z across consoles, also helped contribute to its best yearly first-half result. Digital sales were also up slightly from 65% last year, to 84% this year within the same period.

It's no surprise to find Focus Home Interactive seeing a successful run as of late, with many praising the publisher as one of the leading names in the resurgent AA sphere of video game releases, alongside the likes of fellow European publishers THQ Nordic, Bigben Interactive and Paradox Interactive. While the company remains tight-lipped on future partnerships and what upcoming 2020/2021 games will look like, the focus on the remaining half of the year appears to be primarily with already-available titles such as Vampyr, Farming Simulator and Call of Cthulhu, making their way onto Nintendo Switch.
