According to a post on the official Battlefield 1 website, developer DICE has a whole host of plans for the popular World War I shooter in the coming weeks.
Not only will a new Battlefest be coming on November 16, giving players the opportunity to engage in a whole host of extra in-game content, but players will also be treated to a free new map known as Giant’s Shadow in December.
Of course, being that Battlefield 1 is a living, breathing game, there are far more updates than just these coming to Battlefield 1. Below is a brief list of all of the information that DICE handed out to the public today.
- Suez Map Tweaks
- Battlefest on November 16
- Custom games
- Month One server-side tweaks (Rent-a-Server, etc).
- Giant’s Shadow
Obviously more multiplayer maps are going to be coming to Battlefield 1, but it is interesting to see such an early commitment to announcing content large and small, especially when you consider that EA has been guilty of mystery season passes and such in the past.
