Retailer GAME has confirmed that it will be an official sponsor for the upcoming EGX 2015.

According to GAME, the retailer’s role at EGX 2015 will allow the “opportunity to play, pre-order and buy the latest games directly from the event itself.”

“We’ve been working closely with EGX for years, so we’re really excited to be an official sponsor again in 2015 and having a retail presence at this huge event will make gaming even more accessible to attendees,” says Fred Prego, marketing and insight director at GAME.

“We can’t wait to be part of it and to see all the exciting new additions this year.”

EGX, a UK-based gaming convention, will be held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham from September 24th to September 27th.

This year’s EGX event will host developer sessions, competitions and more than 100 titles for console and PC, ranging from AAA to indie titles.

David Lilley, managing director of Gamer Events, labelled GAME’s sponsorship at EGX as “brilliant,” mainly for the reason that “attendees can play games coming for Christmas and then pre-order on the spot.”

“EGX promises to be even better with the broadest range of content, including e-Sports, cosplay, fighting tournaments and board games, not forgetting the parties every night too,” he added.
