Most RPGs these days sell themselves as having huge, sprawling open worlds with countless locations to visit. But leave to Game Freak to stand out by going in the opposite direction. The famed devloper’s new RPG was revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct presentation, and it’s a unique one. Going by the working title of Town, the game centers around exactly what its title says: A single town. Specifically, the entire game will take place within the confines of the one village, in a unique twist.

Not much is known about the game right now, but the clip below reveals a few details. Players have to battle a variety of monsters that have mysteriously shown up, and discover the town’s secret along the way. The villagers themselves can be recruited for various purposes as well, and won’t just stand by. It certainly looks like a potentially clever, colorful title, and we look forward to seeing more of Town when it comes to the Switch in 2019.
