While the Wii U and Wii U deluxe launched for €299 and €349 in Europe, respectively, their prices have both dropped a hundred euros at GameStop. With an asking price of €199 for the Standard Wii U and €249 for the Deluxe, it makes the consoles about $50 cheaper than in the U.S with exchange rates and is a substantial cut for a system released just a few months ago.

As nothing has been announced by Nintendo, it's unclear if this is a temporary sale or a permanent price drop, but it's certainly something worth keeping an eye on moving forward.
