Ganondorf, the resident antagonist of The Legend of Zelda franchise, has joined the playable roster of Hyrule Warriors. Nintendo confirmed the announcement during their special Hyrule Warriors-themed Nintendo Direct.
Ganon rides into battle on his horse before dismounting and attacking his enemy. With dual-greatswords, Ganon is capable of taking on multiple enemies at any given time. His specials include summoning a shadow arm, throwing fire balls, and ground-pounding.
Nintendo also announced Zant and Girahim as playable characters. The inclusion of them and Ganondorf brings the amount of playable characters in Hyrule Warriors to seventeen with the possibility of more joining the roster. Hyrule Warriors is out September 16 exclusively on Wii U.
