The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson has revealed his desire to see Gears of War’s Brumak be added to Capcom’s critically acclaimed Monster Hunter: World.

The Gears of War 4 producer took to Twitter to share his thoughts on getting the fan-favorite Locust Horde creature into the world of Monster Hunter.

“So who at Monster Hunter [development team] do we need to talk to about getting a Brumak in the game?” Fergusson tweeted. “With or without guns -- although an armed monster would be pretty cool!”

Fergusson’s hopes of seeing the Brumak crossover into Monster Hunter could become more than just a dream. In fact, Capcom previously collaborated with Sony for the PlayStation 4 version of Monster Hunter to feature Horizon Zero Dawn’s protagonist, Aloy, as a playable character.

The Brumak debuted in Epic Games’ Gears of War in 2006, becoming an established creature for the franchise and a reoccurring enemy in subsequent sequels.

Monster Hunter was released on PS4 and Xbox One in January. Capcom has revealed plans for its action RPG title to make its way to PC in Q3 or Q4 2018.

Monster Hunter has already sold five million copies since launch -- setting a record for the franchise in the process -- and is Capcom’s best-selling title to date.

Hardcore Gamer praised Capcom’s work on Monster Hunter in our review, believing it “wastes no efforts in making itself a sprawling experience with enough content to keep people going even without the planned free DLC quests.”
