Gears of War 4, the upcoming third-person cover-based shooter title, will be showcased at PAX East 2016, developer The Coalition announced in a post on its official Gears of War website.

The Coalition is planning to hold a panel called ‘Out of the Shadows: Inside Gears of War Multiplayer with The Coalition’ at the Albatross Theater on Sunday, April 24, at 10:30 a.m.

The Out of the Shadows panel will take a “deeper dive” into Gears of War 4’s multiplayer, with The Coalition also teasing that “some special surprises” have been prepared for the event.

A day before The Coalition hosts its panel, the Gears of War eSports ESL Pro League Season 2 finals will be taking place at PAX East.

Streaming live via the Gears of War Twitch channel, the Pro League Season 2 finals will feature an exclusive worldwide reveal for a brand-new competitive mode included in Gears of War 4.

Gears of War 4

This year’s PAX East will run from April 22 to April 24 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Announced at Microsoft's 2015 E3 press conference, Gears of War 4 takes place 25 years after the events of Epic Games’ Gears of War 3.

Earlier this month, The Coalition revealed the voice actors behind three of the new characters -- JD Fenix, Kait Diaz and Delmont “Del” Walker -- in Gears of War 4, while the developer also confirmed the frame rate for the title’s multiplayer and campaign.

The spring beta for Gears of War 4, which The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson announced last year, has also received an official launch date, with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition owners gaining early access to it.

Gears of War 4 will launch on Xbox One in the fall of 2016.
