Gears of War 4 developer The Coalition released on Thursday a new weapon skin for Gears of War: Ultimate Edition.

The Prism skin is part of the ‘Gears eSports Season 2 Bundle,’ with Ultimate Edition players being able to apply the cameo to either the Gnasher Shotgun or Lancer Assault Rifle (or to both weapons, of course).

The Coalition has released two versions of the Season 2 Bundle: one of the options allows the cameo to be purchased with the Superstar Cole character, while the other includes the Golden Hunter.

According to the Ultimate Edition developer, the proceeds from the Season 2 Bundle will be used to support future Gears of War eSports prize pools and events.

The Ultimate Edition’s Prism add-on, irrespective of it including the Locust or COG character, is priced at £3.99 on the Xbox Games Store.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition

Earlier this month, The Coalition implemented a rather significant update for the Ultimate Edition, resulting in a couple of changes being made to Execution and Blitz.

Additionally, next month will see the addition of a popular online mode, One Shot One Kill, to the Ultimate Edition.

Meanwhile, The Coalition confirmed last week that McFarlane Toys is spearheading the development of a brand-new line of action figures for the forthcoming Gears of War 4.

The Ultimate Edition, which was released on Xbox One in 2015, is expected to receive its PC release sometime in 2016.
