Here we are again; in the year it’ll be celebrating its fifth anniversary since the original launch for PS3 & Xbox 360 in September 2013, Grand Theft Auto V is once more not only selling in the bulk, but has managed to top the UK sales chart once more as we hit the halfway mark of January 2018. In doing so, it managed to push Call of Duty: WW2 into second place followed closely thereafter by FIFA 18 in third place.
Perhaps the biggest mover in the charts is Nintendo’s own Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which jumped seven places from 12th to 5th, accompanied by fellow Nintendo (and Switch) titles in Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey in 8th and 10th spot respectively. Assassin’s Creed Origins fills out the remaining spot of the top five at number four, unchanged from last week. Prepare yourself for another year of unprecedented chart presence — and indeed dominance — by Rockstar’s acclaimed title.
