The upcoming portable robot-on-robot team battle bonanza, Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force, has received an official Western release date. Based on the popular super robot anime franchise of the same name, Gundam: Extreme VS Force is the latest portable entry in the Gundam: Extreme VS fighting game series. Unlike most fighters, the Gundam: Extreme VS series sets the camera behind the playable giant robots in a third-person, over-the-shoulder view, rather than from the side. Players can pick some of their favorite mobile suits from various Gundam anime and manga series to pit against each other in rocket-boosting, laser gun-toting action.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Extreme VS Force is headed to the Americas on July 12, for PlayStation Vita. It will feature English text, but will keep the original Japanese voice-over.
