Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice has just hit its next major sales milestone.  As of today, Ninja Theory's indie title has sold more than one million copies across the PS4, PC and Xbox One. Given these numbers, it seems Ninja Theory's appropriately budgeted AAA experiment has succeeded in a big way.

It was revealed during E3 that Ninja Theory was recently acquired by Microsoft, so it's doubtful that they'll be short on funds for their next game. It's likely that Microsoft already has a great deal of confidence in them due to Hellblade's massive commercial success. Still here's hoping they can keep it up and show Microsoft and the other major publishers that there's another, possibly better way to approach game development.
