PlayStation Studios and Guerrilla Games today announced a new State of Play for Horizon Forbidden West.

It was eleven months ago that Horizon Forbidden West was formally unveiled. Revealed during the PlayStation 5 Showcase event, the hotly anticipated sequel teased new locations, gameplay opportunities, enemies, and a vast expansion of the first game's lore. Since then, however, it's been all quiet on the news front.

That silence ends on Thursday, May 27 at 2pm PT when a special State of Play drops. This Horizon Forbidden West focused show will last about 20 minutes with 14 of those minutes dedicated towards gameplay. Though the game also launches on PS4, all gameplay shown during the State of Play has been captured from a PS5. A 'uniquely crafted countdown' for the show starts at 9am PT.

Horizon Forbidden West is still scheduled to launch in 2021 on PS5 and PS4. Hopefully, the State of Play sheds more light on the game's release window. You can watch it via PlayStation's Twitch or YouTube channels.
