Hyperdimension Neptunia first launched on PS3s in 2010 and provided a tongue in cheek look at the console wars of the time. More recently, a remake version titled Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1 arrived on Vita to initiate a new era of JRPG fan. For the first time PC gamers will get a chance at the series when Re;Birth 1 comes to Steam next week.
Unlike its past renditions, the PC release will offer 1080p graphics and also launch at a far cheaper price. Idea Factory International have announced an initial discount of 50% off, making the game $14.99 instead.
Re;Birth 1 will include controller support and Steam Achievements but there’s currently no word on the possibility of Trading Cards. You’ll be able to jump into the world of Gamindustri on January 28.
I’m definitely getting this one, if only to support the idea that JRPG’s can work on PC if priced correctly, especially if they’re a bit older by now.
