When Steam introduced Steam Greenlight, it changed the service in a fundamental way. Now the titles that gamers wanted have just as much chance making it onto the storefront as more well-known properties. For the most part, all developers must head through Greenlight if they want their game on Steam.

This won't be the case for the 23 Main Competition finalists of the 2014 Independent Games Festival (IGF). If the creators so choose they will be allowed to distribute their game on Valve's service without having to go through the rigamarole of getting upvoted into the top 100. Two of the IGF finalists were already running Greenlight campaigns and have been automatically greenlit. Those titles are Luxuria Superbia and SoundSelf.

All the other IGF Main Competition finalists can be found at IGF's site.
